Springfield Township so named for
its lush springs feeding into creeks that supported local mills - had
already been settled for 100 years when the inn was built in 1830.
This original stone and masonry building has been a continuous
operating establishment providing a popular meeting place for great
food and lively conversation.
The exposed stone walls, painted
plaster, timber and stained glass provide an irresistible atmosphere
of warmth, subdued light, and charm. Two main floor dining rooms and
